Nikki is a Freak of nature!

Hey guys I have been doing a little Nikki workout and it's kickin' my A_ _ ! If you want to mix up your workouts try this. Put your treadmills on 10% incline and run at 5.0 or higher, for .25 miles get off do a set of weights on your arms or legs if you dare and get back on for another .25. Just keep going back and forth until you get to 4 miles. (I do three sets of 15 when I lift. Rotating with running in between sets.) If it doesn't kick your butt, I am severely out of shape. It's already increasing my endurance and speed, and I have only done it 3 times. I have to give a shout out to Nikki......YOU ROCK! You are one tuff B----. Thanks for the training tip. I was getting a little board with my runs.

My Dream

I have dreams where I am running as fast as I can and feel great. I don't even get tiered and I am smiling and just running loving life. SO I wake up and think today will be great. Then about 5 minutes into my run reality hits and I am no longer loving life or how I feel, BUT I keep going. So things aren't all wonderful but I am still training and looking forward to the race.

My Day Sucked

Well, I went out to run today - beautiful blue skies, no wind (for Spanish Fork, that is great!).

I got 1.5 miles into my run and I could hardly breathe.

I'm not used to that.

I can pretty much endure anything....

So, I plugged along. Finished 3 miles in about 28 minutes, not my best time, but ok for having to stop hunched over to get my ribs back out of their spasms....

Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it won't suck.

Del Sol- Here We Come

Hey Girls are we REEEADY? Those of you that have not done one of these races before hold on, your in for a ride! Also be prepared to be addicted. If you are afraid of addiction, PLEASE, back out now. I am so excited for this race, and would love for all of you to try and use this blog to stay in touch with each other. Post your miles, let us know how training is going, because it is very motivational. -Sarah
